Afghanistan is less and less in the news these days. But the need for food and support has not diminished, and poor families abound. The banking situation has not made it easy, as there continue to be drastic restrictions on cash withdrawals. But the Garden of Flowers team have found work-arounds, and regularly they identify needy families, especially women and children, and provide staple food supplies as they have been for the past 6 months. Razia and Fatima are able to often have more insight into talking with women and identifying those who are the neediest, to make sure they are being seen and heard.
The numbers may be a slow trickle, but each one of those families matter. Each bit of help makes a true difference in the world.
