Long before Afghanistan was known for war, it was famous for the quality of its fruits. The sweetness of the fruits that ripen in the intense Afghan sun are one of the great pleasures of life that people still enjoy today. The children of the Garden of Flowers have inherited this gift of earth and culture. This fall they and their adult friends experienced the joy of harvesting and eating grapes and pomegranates right from their back yard.
